About The Festival

With an aim to exhibit the rich culture, art and heritage of the Republic of South Korea, Korea Tourism Organisation has been organizing a two-day festival - Korea Festival 2019. The festival will be held from 13th to 14th of April 2019 at High Street Phoneix, Lower Parel in Mumbai. The entry to the festival is FREE.

The visitors can choose to indulge in South Korean tourist destinations, delicacies, art, culture and the country’s rich heritage.

From mouth-watering Korean flavors to experiential activities like Mask Painting, Hangeul Calligraphy and traditional Korean games, the two-day extravaganza is all set to highlight various aspects of Korea’s Legacy to Indians, thus making South Korea a popular destination for Indian Travelers.

The festival will host a range of experiences that are sure to capture your attention. From tasting local Korean delicacies to trying hands on face painting, there will be no dearth of great experiences you can choose to indulge in.

Food Zone

  • Indulge in a wide range of Korean delicacies such as bibimbap, sujeonggwa, Korean snacks that will be available for sampling

Korean Games

  • Tuho (Pitch-pot) – A Korean game that requires players to throw sticks from a set distance into a large, sometimes ornate, canister.
  • Ddakji (Slap Match) – A traditional Korean game played using folded paper tiles. The objective of the game is to flip over the tile of your opponent.
  • Jegichagi (Shuttlecock) – It is a Korean traditional outdoor game in which players kick the “jegi” into the air and attempt to keep it aloft.

Hallyu Zone (Korean Wave)

  • Experience the best of Hallyu in this space dedicated to the Korean wave! From famous Korean TV dramas and movies to the latest K-pop releases, this zone has it all.
  • For people visiting this booth, make sure to ask for your hologram pyramid – we have created a couple of videos to be especially enjoyed in hologram fashion.

Steps for Participation:
  • Step 1: Visit the Mask Painting Booth at the Korea Festival 2019.
  • Step 2: Design your own Korean mask.
